How do I empty my browser cache?

For example, if you have moved your website to us, you may still see the website as it was with your previous provider. This is because browsers store the websites you visit on the computer. That's called the browser cache. By emptying the browser, the browser must download a new copy of your website and see the website as it appears on your hosting package.

Important

Emptying the browser cache often fixes these types of issues, but there may of course be more reasons why your website is not (good) displayed.

Google Chrome

Step 1. Click the menu button (three dots underneath). Then click More Tools > Clear Browsing Data ....

Step 2. Select First Use in Removing the following items from:. Make sure there are only Cached images and files checkbox.

Step 3. Click Clear Browsing Data. The browser cache is now emptied.

Firefox

Step 1. Click the menu button (three dashes).

Step 2. In the menu click Settings then the Privacy & Security tab.

Step 3. Under Web Content click Clear data. The browser cache is now emptied.

Edge

Step 1. Click the menu button (three dots next to each other).

Step 2. Click Choose what you want to delete under Clear Browsing Data.

Step 3. Make sure that only Data and files in the cache is checked. Click Clear to empty the browser cache.
